Setting Up Red61 Ticket Data Import

Overview

This guide walks you through setting up automated ticket data imports from Red61 into Confirmed. The integration syncs ticket sales data every 15 minutes using CSV reports sent via email.

This feature requires a Pro plan subscription.

What You'll Need

  • Access to your Red61 dashboard

  • Pro plan active in Confirmed

  • Sample ticket sales data from Red61

Step 1: Create a Ticket Source in Confirmed

  1. Navigate to Venues in your left sidebar

  2. Expand the Additional Settings dropdown

  3. Select Ticket Data Import

  4. Click Add New Source

  5. Fill in the Source name (e.g., "Most Toast / Kids Can Heckle")

  6. An email address will be generated automatically

  7. Click the Copy button next to the email address (you'll see a "Copied!" confirmation)

  8. Keep this email address handy - you'll need it in Red61

Step 2: Create a Report in Red61

  1. Open your Red61 Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Saved reports in the left sidebar

  3. Click New report

  4. From the Choose report type dropdown, select "Ed Fringe Full Sales Breakdown"

  5. Configure your report criteria:

    • Season

    • Venue

    • Performance Start Date

    • Any other grouping options you need

  6. Click Save for later

  7. Name the report something recognizable like "Tickets for Confirmed"

Step 3: Schedule Automated CSV Delivery

  1. In Red61, go to Schedule saved reports

  2. Click New schedule

  3. Select your report: "Tickets for Confirmed"

  4. Set the Active date end (e.g., "01/09/2023")

  5. Set Start runtime to "00:00" (midnight)

  6. Set Run Time Interval to "15 minutes"

  7. Paste the Email address you copied from Confirmed earlier

  8. Select format: Comma Separated Values (CSV)

  9. Save the schedule

The 15-minute interval is not exact - Red61 will send reports approximately every 15 minutes. Check the "Last Run" timestamp in Confirmed to verify data flow.

Step 4: Download a Sample CSV

  1. Back in Red61's Saved reports page

  2. Select your "Tickets for Confirmed" report

  3. Change Select format to CSV

  4. Click Download (you'll see a notification when it's ready)

  5. Save the CSV file to your computer

Step 5: Configure Field Mapping in Confirmed

  1. Return to the Ticket Imports page in Confirmed

  2. Click Upload Sample CSV Report to Configure Mapping

  3. Select the CSV file you just downloaded from Red61

  4. Map the CSV columns to Confirmed fields:

    • Show name → "event_title"

    • Venue → venue field from CSV

    • Date and time → date/time field from CSV

    • Ticket price → price field from CSV

    • Tickets sold → "sold_count_incl_ca" or similar

    • Ticket type → "concession_code" or similar

  5. Save the mapping

The field mapping will auto-populate dropdown menus based on your CSV columns. Match each Confirmed field to the corresponding Red61 column name.

Step 6: Verify the Integration

  1. Your ticket source should now be listed as configured on the Ticket Imports page

  2. Wait for the first scheduled report (up to 15 minutes)

  3. Check the Last Run timestamp to confirm data is flowing

  4. Verify that ticket data appears in your shows

Troubleshooting

Data Not Appearing

  • Verify the email address in Red61 matches exactly what Confirmed generated

  • Check that the schedule is active in Red61

  • Look at the "Last Run" timestamp - if it's blank, no data has been received yet

Mapping Issues

  • You need actual sales data in your sample CSV for mapping to work properly

  • Download a fresh CSV if your initial sample was empty

  • Column names are case-sensitive

Next Steps

Once your ticket import is configured, data will sync automatically every 15 minutes. You can view ticket sales data directly in your show details and reports.
